Amazon suspends shipping to Russia

One of the largest American companies Amazon suspends the shipment of goods to Russia and Belarus. This was reported on the company’s website.

“We have suspended shipments of retail products to customers in Russia and Belarus and will no longer accept new AWS (Amazon Web Services – approx. URA.RU) customers from Russia and Belarus and third-party Amazon sellers,” the website said in a statement. In addition, the company suspends access for Russians to the Prime Video video service and stops selling the New World video game.

After the special operation of Russian troops in Ukraine that began on February 24, many countries impose economic sanctions against Russia. The decision to suspend work in the Russian Federation was announced by Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, as well as Inditex. A similar statement was made by the Swedish company IKEA. Procter & Gamble and Unilever also joined the sanctions.
